Therapy that fits to the uniqueness of you

I see you and everyone that comes to work with me as an individual, with unique experiences, strengths and challenges.

Rather than making assuptions based on a diagnosis, life experience or presenting problem, I take time to understand the person behind the story you are bringing.

My approach is one of non-judgement and curiosity, and tailored to you, because there is no single way to experience anxiety, trauma, grief or heartbreak, and no single way to heal.

What we might work on

I work with adults experiencing;

  • Anxiety and overwhelm
  • Depression and feeling stuck
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Childhood and complex trauma
  • Grief and loss
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Attachment difficulties
  • Betrayal and heartbreak
  • Low self-esteem
  • Difficult or painful life experiences
  • Recurring patterns that feel difficult to change
  • Major life changes and transitions

Counselling for Couples

I also offer relationship therapy for partners who feel stuck in patterns of conflict, disconnection or misunderstanding and want to find a different way of relating to one another.

I take a trauma-informed, attachment-based approach, with additional training in Imago Relationship Therapy. I’m interested in what sits beneath the arguments and recurring patterns, including the fears, needs and vulnerabilities that can make it difficult to feel heard, safe or connected.

You might seek support with communication difficulties, recurring arguments, emotional distance, intimacy, trust, parenting, separation, or navigating significant changes in your relationship. Sometimes experiences from earlier relationships or childhood can also influence how we respond to one another.

My aim is to create a space where both people can be understood, while gently exploring the patterns between you and finding new ways of communicating, understanding and connecting.

Reaching out

The first step is reaching out. I offer a 20-minute free consultation which is an opportunity to discuss your best hopes for therapy and for me to answer any questions you may have. You are under no obligation to proceed, and if you would like to, we would arrange a suitable time and book a first session.

Starting therapy

The first session is a chance to see how it feels to work together. I might be curious about your goals for therapy, what feels difficult and what you would like to be different. We might explore more about your history, your support network and what you are currently doing to nuture yourself.

Getting into it

Therapy is weekly, but fortnightly is an option. Sessions are 50 minutes long, can be in person, online via several platforms and/or telephone or a combination of all three. In person sessions are in Surbiton. Fees are £80. Couples sessions are 1 hour in length and fee is £105 can be in person or via online platform.
